Features

  • STIHL M-TRONIC: RELIABLE WORK WITH THE BEST PERFORMANCE. With STIHL M-Tronic, you’ll have the best performance from your work tool from the outset. Fully electronic engine management regulates the ignition timing and fuel metering in all work situations, taking into account external conditions such as temperature, altitude and fuel quality.
  • ERGONOMIC BIKE HANDLE: EFFORTLESS MOWING OF LARGE AREAS. The ergonomic bike handle helps you mow large areas quickly and effortlessly, as this handle supports a natural brush cutter movement. The bike handle is easy to adjust and secure.
  • ADVANCE PLUS Universal harness: With a comfort carry ring for quickly attaching and removing the clearing saw.
  • STOP BUTTON: RESTART WORK QUICKLY. With the stop button, you can switch off your power tool quickly and easily for a short break, for example. As the button springs back to its original position after actuation, the engine is immediately ready to start again. This provides more comfort after breaks and increases your work efficiency.
  • CHANGEOVER BETWEEN SUMMER AND WINTER OPERATION: EASY CONVERSION THANKS TO SLIDERS. You can easily adapt your work tool to the different conditions of the seasons. A slider allows you to easily switch between summer and winter operation. The winter setting ensures that the air filter and carburetor do not ice up.
  • Locking plug-in bolt: Changing the tool is made particularly easy by locking the plug-in bolt in place.
  • LARGE FUEL TANK: FOR LONGER WORKING INTERVALS. The large fuel tank allows you to work longer without having to refuel. Thanks to its transparent material, you can check the fill level of your tank quickly and easily. The filler cap is firmly attached so that you cannot lose it.
  • Goggles: It is important to protect your eyes from flying particles and harmful UV radiation. Therefore, a pair of safety goggles/glasses are supplied with the the machine. Note: Additional face protection must be worn when working with brush cutters.
  • STIHL ErgoStart (FT): STIHL ErgoStart cuts the effort required to start the tool by half, while the starter cord can be pulled at just one third of the normal force. A coil spring between the starter cord and the crankshaft smoothest out force peaks, making them virtually undetectable through the cord itself.
  • STIHL 2-MIX-Engine: 2-stroke engine with stratified charge. A fuel-free layer of air is created between the burned charge in the combustion chamber and the fresh charge in the crankcase, reducing the amount of fuel lost during the charge cycle. This results in more power with a lower weight, up to 20% lower fuel consumption than regular 2-stroke engines and significantly reduced exhaust emissions.
  • Multi-function control handle: Easy, comfortable thumb-operated control means the operator’s hand never leaves the handle.
  • STIHL 4-point anti-vibration system: In STIHL brush cutters, steel springs act as anti-vibration elements to reduce the transmission of vibrations caused by the motor and rotary cutter. The handles therefore have extremely low vibration, and the devices is easy to guide.
  • Tool free handle adjustment: The central wing nut enables easy adjustment without the use of tools. For transportation and space-saving storage, the handle can be rotated by 90°.
  • Compensator: This controller in the carburetor prevents the fuel-air mixture getting richer as the air filter becomes clogged. The correct quantity of fuel is delivered to the carburetor depending on the quantity of air passing through the air filter. This keeps the fuel/air ratio in the combustion mixture constant and hence also the engine power. The filter doesn’t need to be cleaned until an appreciable drop in power occurs.
  • Manual fuel pump (Purger): A small fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button. This reduces the number of starting strokes required following extended breaks in operations.
