The MS 201 professional chainsaw is one of STHL’s lightest petrol-driven chainsaws for forestry work. All MS 201 chainsaw models feature a powerful STIHL 2-MIX engine with an output of 1.8 kW (2.4 hp). Thanks to STIHL M-Tronic technology, you can enjoy optimum engine performance at all times. This is because M-Tronic ensures precise electronic control of the ignition timing and fuel metering in every operating state. STIHL ElastoStart helps you to start the MS201. This feature dampens load peaks that arise and thus protects your muscles and joints. The 3/8″ PS saw chain ensures strong cutting performance. Captive nuts on the sprocket cover support quick and easy chain replacement.

Description

The MS 201 TC-M arborist saw provides optimum support for all tree maintenance work. Thanks to the lightweight guide bar, the maximum system weight of this chainsaw is 4.3 kg. The MS 201 TC-M chainsaw is the most powerful STIHL petrol arborist saw on the market.

Features

  • STIHL M-Tronic (FT): For a cold start, the STIHL M-Tronic only needs one start position on the combi-lever. After starting, you can immediately power up to full speed. The amount of fuel required is precisely calculated by the system and supplied as needed. Otherwise, start in position I as usual.
  • STIHL FOUR-CHANNEL TECHNOLOGY: Four overflow channels swirl the fuel-air mix before ignition, allowing for optimum combustion and highly efficient performance. The result: lower consumption and high torque across a broad rpm range.
  • Captive bar nuts: Bar nuts held captive in the sprocket cover will not get lost when changing over the cutting attachment.
  • CONTROLLED-DELIVERY OIL PUMP: The exact chain oil output can be adjusted manually for varying conditions, allowing for a reduction of up to 50%.
  • STIHL Ematic-System: The Ematic chain lubrication system ensures pinpoint lubrication of the saw chain links and guide bar rails. When used with STIHL OILOMATIC saw chain, it will provide maximum lubrication, longer wear and less oil consumption than conventional methods of chain lubrication. The Ematic system can reduce bar oil consumption up to 50%.
