Description

Protek AviGuard Mercaptothion 1L is a contact and stomach insecticide formulated as an emulsifiable concentrate. It contains Mercaptothion (organophosphate) at a concentration of 500 g/L and is registered under Act No. 36 of 1947 (Reg. No. L216).

Protek AviGuard effectively controls a wide range of pests, including:

• Insects: Aphids, mealy bugs, scale insects, thrips, CMR beetles, grasshoppers, crickets, lawn caterpillars, astylus, diamondback moths, ladybirds, fungus gnats, pumpkin flies, fruit flies, carpet beetles, flies, ants, cockroaches, and fish moths.

• Public Health Pests: Bed bugs, flies, ants, cockroaches, and fish moths.

• Agricultural Pests: Fall armyworms, aphids, mealy bugs, scale insects, thrips, CMR beetles, grasshoppers, crickets, lawn caterpillars, astylus, diamondback moths, ladybirds, fungus gnats, pumpkin flies, fruit flies, carpet beetles, flies, ants, cockroaches, and fish moths

🧪 Application Guidelines

• Mixing Instructions:

  1. Half-fill the spray tank with clean water.

  2. Add the required amount of Protek AviGuard.

  3. Fill the tank to the desired volume with water.

  4. Ensure thorough mixing before application.

• Application Rates:

  • Ornamental Plants, Flowers, Bananas, Peaches, Apricots, Plums, Pawpaw, Tomatoes, Beans:

    • Pest: Aphids

    • Dosage: 12.5 mL per 10 L of water

    • Application Method: Spray when insects are noticed. Repeat as needed with full coverage.

  • Granadillas:

    • Pest: Mealybugs

    • Dosage: 25 mL per 10 L of water

    • Application Method: Apply as a full cover spray.

  • Guavas, Citrus:

    • Pest: Scale Insects

    • Dosage: 30 mL per 10 L of water

    • Application Method: Apply as a full cover spray.

  • Cruciferae:

    • Pest: Diamondback Moth

    • Dosage: 25 mL per 10 L of water

    • Application Method: Spray when insects are noticed.

  • Mushrooms:

    • Pest: Fungus Gnats

    • Dosage: 15 mL per 10 L of water

    • Application Method: Apply as a full cover spray. Repeat after picking if necessary.

  • Orchards:

    • Pest: Ant Holes

    • Dosage: 400 mL per 10 L of water

    • Application Method: Spot treatment. Spray infested soil thoroughly.

  • Cucurbits, Granadillas:

    • Pest: Pumpkin Fly

    • Dosage: 17.5 mL per 10 L of water + 800 g sugar

    • Application Method: Bait treatment. Apply as a coarse spray under foliage.

  • Public Health Areas:

    • Pest: Fishmoths, Carpet Beetles, Cockroaches, Ants

    • Dosage: 50 mL per 1 L of water

    • Application Method: Apply as a coarse spray or brush onto surfaces. Pay special attention to cracks and crevices where insects hide.
